In the Room
The location was amazing- the view from our room and from the restaurant was unbelievable! The staff was so helpful and friendly. We loved everything about this hotel.
The staff were very nice and efficient. The view from the room was really extraordinary. The room, and hotel in general, are decorated with refinement. The original paintings displayed are from well known artists and are pleasant to the eye. Both the evening meal and breakfast were of a very high quality.
We had previously stayed at the Parador in Ronda and the facilities are very nice but we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Montelirio more because it is more intimate, we liked the decoration better and our whole experience was wonderful!! The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. We would recommend this Hotel to all our friends!!
Charming hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Superb views from bedroom overlooking the gorge. Excellent food, comfortable room.
It has the best location in Ronda and in Ronda, this counts. The restaurant has the best view in Ronda. The rooms are very large and comfortable.
Quite frequently through the day there is no-one in reception and the door is locked, so you actually have to wait to get in!
This has to be one of the top hotels in the world I have ever stayed in. Make sure you get a room with a view of the bridge and book yourself in for supper. Very special and magical ...
Not staying for another night or two !!
We were particularly impressed by the attitude of the staff - they made the time to talk with and listen to the guests. The hotel is very conveniently located in the old town close to the New Bridge so it is an excellent centre for investigating Ronda as a whole. the views from the dining room and the terrace are spectacular. The room was delightful - extremely comfortable and well furnished. The food was good and well presented by staff who were quietly attentive to the needs of the guests. All in all a great hotel in which to stay for a relaxing weekend.
Location is very good. We can enjoy excellent view form the hotel. The hotel itself is very beautiful.
The price of breakfast is a little bit expensive.
Ronda is a beautiful town, and the views from the hotel are amazing. The hotel is quite small but is really lovely. There is a small sun terrace with a small pool that gets all the afternoon and evening sun. It's a lovely area to chill out in after a busy day sightseeing or shopping. We stayed in a room without a very - but it was a million miles away from any standard room I've ever stayed in before. There was a sunny terrace where you could catch a glimpse of the old town and hear the horses go by below. There was beams in the ceiling and the room was decorated in a really romantic old world way. The bathroom too was really nice - seemed like no expense was spared in decorating the hotel. And the food in the restaurant was out of this world - and then there was the views from there too! I would recommend without a doubt!
The service in the restaurant was a little slow. At the end of our meal we were not asked was there anything else we'd like. And I was a little disappointed by that, as we were planning another drink each. Also, while I did like the pool area I was a little disappointed on first seeing how small the area was - but that said there was always room and space and quiet there.
the view and the town of Ronda.
Pool is tiny and freezing.
It is better to eat than to sleep there. Stay there only on honey moon or on special occasion. In Spain, elegant places treat with sufficiency young couples.
There was a huge difference in a room with a view and of course didn't know that at time of booking. We had a veiw to the street as opposed to a vast and beautiful revine, breath taking countryside, a 14th century bridge and old town. I aske for a change to a view room and was told I made the mistake in not reserving a room with a view. Neither the hotel nor your company told me of that option and to think I paid the same or simular anount as another with that view really made me angry.
Fantastic location - Friendly, helpful staff - Superb views - Quiet, peaceful environment. We were made welcome and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived and, as a consequence, enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.
In truth, the 'continental breakfast' was very disappointing - with limited choice and some poor quality fayre. We did not try the cooked breakfast, but this did look to be better. The evening meal main courses are very small - albeit well prepared - and were expensive for what we received (but maybe the extra was for the fabulous view from the terrace). The bar is a dismal place, but guests have other more pleasant areas to sit and enjoy a drink.
the central location and the awesome view from the restaurant
the hotel is furnished in and old fashioned way, you could take so much more out of it if furnished more brighter. It could be excellent and recommendable to a large number of people after a fresh up.
Great hotel , great location , helpful staff , beautiful views from our room .
